Hi, I’m Kirsty Bennett.

Leadership can look straightforward from the outside. It often isn’t.

I spent many years in leadership roles, working in senior finance positions and leading teams. The work involved constant decisions, competing priorities, and the expectation that you stay composed and keep things moving.

What I saw, again and again, was that the leaders who managed this well were rarely doing it alone. They had someone they trusted - a coach, a mentor, or a manager who knew how to support good thinking - someone who helped them step back, regain perspective, and make decisions with more ease.

Sonderwell grew out of that understanding.

It exists to support leaders in doing their work without everything feeling so heavy - while still holding responsibility and ambition.

Why this work exists

I spent many years working inside organisations, in senior finance roles, leading teams and working closely with people across different levels of responsibility.

I saw how leadership plays out day to day - through constant decisions, rising pressure, and the need to keep things moving.

Alongside my roles, I spent years developing my leadership practice through formal development , a coaching qualification, and continuous learning alongside the work itself. What mattered to me most was understanding what actually helped people move forward when things felt harder than they needed to be.

I saw the difference it made when leaders were able to look at situations differently. Assumptions eased. Problems shifted shape. What people thought was the issue often wasn’t the thing that needed attention.

As thinking changed, behaviour followed - not through effort or instruction, but because decisions felt clearer and easier to act on, confidence grew as a consequence, and energy restored.

I saw leaders lead with more ease. Teams respond differently. Work feel lighter without becoming less serious.

Sonderwell is built around creating those conditions - where leadership works better because thinking is clearer.

The work exists to help leadership feel sustainable - not by doing more, but by working differently
